Chok'on Dis Blaz'n Glaze

Chok’On Dis Blaz’n Glaze sauce from Bisummo.com is another creation from Todd “King of Sting” Ross from Orlando, Florida. His Blaz’n Glaze is sold and marketed as a marinade or finishing sauce. Next time we cook with this sauce, we’ll go the whole marinading route.
But for now, we simply brushed some on chicken wings and grilled ’em up for the bbq effect.

Ingredients:peaches, brown sugar, water, vinegar, molasses, habanero mash (habanero peppers, vinegar, salt), salt, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, ginger, coriander, allspice, xanthan gum.

Label & Packaging:
There is a line drawing graphic of a screaming face. But the colors are… well, black and white. A bit too plain for me. I think it’s time Bisummo upgraded the label for what is a very good sauce. It gets a “2 peppers” for design.

As for the Sucklebusters BBQ sauce, the label says Sweet, Tangy and Spicy. We’ll try this one on chicken breasts from the grill, just to see what all the talk is about regarding Texas-style BBQ sauce. You can buy it here.

My reviews of these sauces will be posted soon, but I wanted to give props to Jason and TexasFood.com for such a nice package. Jason included a personal letter introducing each product, a few business cards and a flyer depicting some of the many products (I counted about 60+ in the flyer alone) that you will find on TexasFood.com. Pickapeppa Jerk Seasoning, Bone Suckin BBQ Sauce on chicken legs, done on the grill, and eaten until our eyes rolled back… I can barely write this post. It was that good!

The Big Picture:

We smeared the Pickapeppa Jerk Seasoning onto the chicken, and put them in the Fridge overnight to get all happy. Then we grilled the chicken sloooowly over indirect low heat on the grill. Near the end of grilling, we slathered a bbq sauce made with Bone Suckin’ Sauce and Busha Browne’s Spicy Jerk Sauce to get a nice glaze and to add some sweetness to the mix.

Served with cole slaw and beer… this recipe was truly “food porn” and everyone was happy!

The Details:

We cut up the chicken leg “quarters” into drumsticks and thighs. This was messy and time consuming to me, but Wifey came to the rescue. Personally, I’d be happy buying the chicken
