In Memoriam Randi Lee Hearn
Randi Lee Hearn 9/16/1954 – 4/10/2011
Peppers.com will not be the same without Randi. Chip Hearn’s mega-store (the world’s largest collection of hot sauce as noted in the Guinness Book of Records) was really run by Randi. She was the go-to gal.
She knew the store and shelves inside out. “Hey Randi, where is ‘this’ or where is ‘that’… she knew. Give her 2 seconds and she would steer you to the exact location of what you were looking for.
“… she was the general manager of Peppers, her family’s spicy items store in the Midway Galleria in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Chip, Luther and Randi came up with the concept for Peppers while on vacation in Jamaica many years ago when they discovered the great variety of hot sauces available there and sampled dozens of them…”
Randi, you never, ever, steered us wrong. And you were always there with a smile and a sardonic wit.
Our sympathy goes out to Luther, Chip and family, and Christina and the entire staff at Peppers.com.
Services and a tribute to her life can be found in her obituary.
God Speed Randi. See you in Heaven. With hot sauce.
With love, Brian and Marilyn
In lieu of flowers please send donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
God be with the Hearn family. May Randi rest in peace.
Fortunately, Marilyn will be attending the Service, and we’ll both be going to the reception in the evening.
It was a nice gathering. We got to meet lots of people that knew Randi – we met her sister, and spoke with Chip and ate delicious food. Randi would be proud.
