Draper’s BBQ Launches New Beef Rub – Moo’d Enhancer

Big News in the World of Barbecue

This is BIG news in the world of Barbecue. Draper’s BBQ has just launched his newest rub for beef – Moo’d Enhancer. Building on the success of his DBQ Smokin’ Sauce and A.P. Rub, Shane Draper has done it once again, and created what may be the de facto beef rub for brisket, burgers, beef ribs and all things that used to “Moo”. Yes, Moo’d Enhancer (Bovine Enhancement Powder) has been created solely for enhancing your beef cookouts.

Draper's BBQ Moo'd Enhancer Rub & Smokin' Sauce

While Moo’d Enhancer got its start as a brisket rub, it morphed numerous times in development towards an overall spicy and almost “umami” flavor profile that lends itself to a much broader use. It will be just as useful and welcome in the home cook’s pantry as well as a strong contender for space in the competition cook’s arsenal.

And to emphasize that last fact, I’ve enlisted the help of an award-winning KCBS Competition team owner, our friend Kit Rudd of Degüello BBQ, to offer his opinions, as a professional BBQ competitor on this remarkable new rub. What follows is my review as a backyard griller, and Kit’s review as a KCBS competitor.

Jacs Tailgaters Bayou Blaze Habanero BBQ Sauce Review

Jac’s Tailgaters Bayou Blaze Habanero BBQ Sauce Review submitted by Ken Alexander

Jac’s Tailgaters Bayou Blaze Habanero BBQ Sauce: This Certified Cajun product hails from West Monroe, La.  Tracy and Kristi Carter have a good thing going with their unique line of sauces, mixes, and rubs, and after picking up a bottle of their original Bayou Blaze BBQ Sauce at the NOLA hot sauce show and quickly finishing it off, I had to try their Habanero BBQ Sauce. I was not disappointed.  I picked up a bottle at the recent Houston Hot Sauce Festival, and when Brian and I talked about me doing a guest review for HotSauceDaily, the timing was perfect.  I recently had a “wing night”, where I tried different sauces on plain wings, and this sauce stood out and screamed “review me”!  I appreciate Brian and Marilyn for giving me the opportunity to share with their audience on such a quality review site as HotSauceDaily.

Abrams Original BBQ Sauce Review

Continuing our series about Maryland based BBQ sauce companies, we present our review of Abrams Original BBQ Sauce from Laurel, Maryland.

Henri and Kim Abrams started their company the way many couples have, with a recipe and a backyard full of friends and family cheering them on to market their product to the masses. They are “passionate” about their product using only fresh ingredients, and their original “tangy” sauce is “perfect for those who prefer mild BBQ flavor with a hint of kick”.

In their own words,

Abrams BBQ was started from a dare. After years of cooking and encouraged by family and friends, we took a leap of faith. We went to community yard sales to see if others would enjoy our products and they were a success. We always sold out our stock of 100 within one hour! People were chomping at the bit for more! We knew we had a winner with our sauces and meat rub — try some, and you’ll agree!

Abrams Original All-Natural BBQ has no artificial flabors, MSG, or preservatives.

For this review, we tried Abrams Original on both ribs and chicken wings. The results were incredibly good.

Guy Fieri Kansas City Barbecue Sauce Smokey and Sweet

Guy Fieri Kansas City BBQ Smokey & Sweet

This Guest Post was written for us by Patrick Mueller

As the celebrity chef wildfire sweeps the nation, we’re finding our store shelves becoming more and more occupied with familiar faces and names of food stardom.

One of the latest includes a lineup of sauces and salsas stamped with the familiar blond spiky hair and punk rock attitude of Guy Fieri.

Today, I decided to grab a bottle and give it a shot and see if was (as Guy would say) “off the hook”.
