The Bloody Caesar has replaced the Bloody Mary at our house.
This recipe is made with Mott’s Clamato juice, Frank’s Red Hot, and Worchestershire sauce. It’s a delicious, slightly less spicy drink than the traditional Bloody Mary with horseradish.
I first learned how to make a REAL Bloody Caesar after listening to Don Genova’s “All You Can Eat” podcast. Don interviewed the Dean of Mott’s Clamato Caesar School, Len Fragomeni. Len’s recipe specifically calls for Frank’s Red Hot.
The Bloody Caesar was invented in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1969 at the Westin Hotel by bartender Walter Chell. Mott’s worked with Chell to create Mott’s Clamato Juice.
Clamato, Frank’s Red Hot, Worchestershire Sauce, Celery Salt, Lime, Celery
- 1 oz vodka
- 2 dashes Frank’s Red Hot
- 3 dashes salt & pepper
- 4 dashes Worchestershire Sauce
- 4 oz Clamato
- 6 oz ice
- celery & lime
This is my first video posted on my blog. It’s almost experimental! And, yes, all that junk on the counter is just what my house looks like with sauces and condiments everywhere.
